Chronic Illness: A Second Life!

My new horse.... I named him Ginger.... and
I could not be happier with my new SECOND
LIFE!
This is the default outfit and hair that came with my
avatar...you will see I bought a cowboy shirt and boots, and got some pretty
neat free hair

A screen capture from my second day at Second Life.... and
where I have gone....from static art to living 3d art and being social with real
people! Some of the 3d is crude, so it can be animated and used on the web, but
some aspects... like the great golden dragon I MET AND TALKED to just take one's
breath away!! (a dragon WAY BEYOND what any poser dragon can look like and do in
my humble opinion)
Here I am on my new horse.... I named him Ginger.... (and FYI- I or I on my
horse can FLY!!) I could not be happier with my new SECOND LIFE... to be able to
do things I thought I could never ever do again.... this is not a computer
internet video game....used properly, it's an extension of a limited life and
social outlet! It does take some getting used to, and it is good to have a
friend (as I do) who can help me learn my way around, but here I am on my second
day, horse-back riding! With a good computer, video card and headset/microphone,
one can move about an interact, (talk to) people like in real life.... it's
utterly amazing! I am very visual anyway, with a great imagination, so I am off
and running...and already sleeping better and feeling better.... !
Second Life is an extension of real life and used WISELY AND CAREFULLY - ie: get
a trusted friend to show you the ropes and guide you, so you learn how to avoid
the (in any life!) icky people.... but the fantastic things I have seen in just
three days there are WORTH every moment there! But always, I get my FIRST LIFE
(!) responsibilities done before I go, and I am trying to limit my time to
reasonable lengths!
