Finding Your Way into the P6 Firefly render options
Might seem kinda intimidating but I am finding P6 has a LOT of options in here!
Look in the upper left to start...once you click the Firefly TAB, you will be in the
default AUTO settings...NOT where you will get a good render! Click on the MANUAL setting button!

NOTE too all the interesting check boxes on the right side of Manual! This is where I "Use Displacement maps"
for models that come with this setting (more and more do! Noggin's Poser Iguana skin is ready to use this
setting for hyper-realism, but you need to check this box to get the full effect of his texture settings when rendering!
If you are creating a displacement map yourself, then you must have this box checked!

I decided to post this when I was working with some mesh models that were created before Poser 6,
and Poser 6 definitely sees mesh differently! It's good to know there are options to get a great render
with some "older" (and it is not really that old) mesh - for example our great Phalen's Photoreal furnished
buildings like the Barn Set, Saloon, and more at my store: Vista Internet Products!
Here are the specific settings for Phalen's Buildings and rooms:

Notice you use Firefly but you UN-CHECK "Raytracing" and set it's slider to 0!
Next you make some other setting adjustments as shown. (the MAX BUCKET SIZE
will render faster at the default 32, unless you have a real souped up machine! :)
Be sure and click the POST FILTER SIZE in the lower left - the drop down shown
in the big image above to get the "gaussian" setting and put it at 2. This helps with
a higher degree of anti-alaising! :)
