DISPLACEMENT MAPPING IN POSER 5!
I did not know that I was doing this in Bryce, when I would use a gray scale
image in it's
terrain editor to create a 3d object in the shape of the gray scale image!
Somehow this
seems more magical! You just need ANY complex mesh shape to apply an image
to transform it!!

| NOTE: this is not
a bryce material - it is a jpg to be used for a material in
bryce, sorry for the wrong term on the screen capture, got too excited to
post the success with this! I just grabbed the first jpg texture I found in my Bryce folder, something I got from the web I am sure, and put it on as shown! I was warned that it would not show up until the render (where I had the displacement maps checked of course!) ... and when I thought I could add the color of the jpg, I just plugged it into the diffuse! I am sure there is a lot more that can be done, but it is my first attempt to create an object this way! *mad giggle* I actually created a little Sci Fi image with this, and will link here when I put it up on this site! |
