Vue 4 with Debra Ross's Bison wearing some of my new Buffalo Maps.
I did not plan on having this two tone water, it was a "happy accident" !
I assigned water to the ground plane, then added two terrain's for the dry
land. I didn't like the look of the water, so I added a water plane over the
ground plane and this happened! Thanks to Guitta for the tip on getting
rid of the water "wave" lines! Most of the brush is from Vue itself, but I
did add a couple of Drew's free "weed" 3ds models for variety.
I did do Photoshop post: Cloning to make the meeting of the blue water
with the brown more uneven, smoothing & darkening a tad where the
water meets the land, then selecting some of the dry grass material areas;
adding noise and blurring straight up at 3. I also copied parts of the buffaloes
(the parts at the very edges) pasted that on a new layer, to brush out
for a more furry look. Lastly I added the White Buffalo as a 2D picture,
and made it's layer nearly transparent, for the First White Buffalo of legend
to watch over the new baby just born. Seeing a real live white buffalo baby
on Animal Planet started this whole idea, & so all my maps were born from it!
